Meet Abbie, FFAC's Senior Patient Care Coordinator and Copywriter! Abbie is from Harbor Beach, MI, but now calls Saginaw home with her husband and two cats, Karmen and Jasper. Abbie knows that calling a doctor's office can induce anxiety in a lot of people, so she hopes hearing a friendly voice on the other end helps ease our callers' stress. She also writes our website content and comes up with new ways to get our name out there when people need help with their feet and ankles!

When she's not at work, Abbie enjoys reading an inhuman number of books, lifting weights, listening to her massive collection of vinyl records, playing the piano, and writing. She's written several books of her own, usually in the fantasy genre. You're likely to find her in the kitchen baking or cooking for her husband, neighbors, and coworkers (lucky us!).

Abbie's favorite part about working for Freeland Foot and Ankle Clinic is how compassionate everyone is. She appreciates working for Dr. Dailey because she knows he cares not only about our patient's foot health, but also dedicates himself to making each and every patient feels heard and understood. Her favorite advanced treatment is a tie between custom orthotics and EPAT. She loves seeing our orthotics patients come in for their follow-ups reporting that they were able to walk or run or work out more thanks to the insoles. She's personally benefitted from the healing power of EPAT when she was suffering from some moderate heel pain herself.

What makes your day better?

A good cup of coffee, finishing a book, and Facetiming my sister.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation because I'd be able to travel anywhere and wouldn't ever have to get on a plane.

Tell us your favorite local restaurant.

Zitoon, located in the Midland Mall, or Grove Tea Lounge

Which time period would you travel to if you could hop into a time machine?

1960s-1970s in San Fransisco. The music, art, and spirituality scene there at the time was unmatched and I'd love to be a part of it. I'd probably end up as one of the groupies for the Grateful Dead.

If you could meet anyone in the world today, who would it be and why?

Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria because he is a musician and a writer like me. I'd love to pick his brain about the intersection between his two art forms. I'd also love to meet Stevie Nicks and show her the portrait of her I have tattooed on my arm.

What would you name your yacht if you had one?

That's Awesome! because people would pass by and shout "That is awesome!"

What is your most unpopular opinion?

A hot dog is a sandwich, and Halloween starts on August 1st (one month isn't enough!).Abbie Pedrotte

Give us a recommendation of a book we should read.

Into the Wild by John Krakauer or Circe by Madeline Miller

If you could have a private concert with any artist, who would it be and what would you ask them to play for you?

Fleetwood Mac (before they broke up) - The Chain or the whole Rumors album.

This might be the most important question. If you got to pick out of the clinic's treasure chest, what would you pick?

Break me off a piece of that Kit-Kat bar.
